A bit about Darin "Big Daddy" Young

Welcome to the personal website of Professional Dart Player

Darin Young - "The Big Easy"
When I first met Darin Young, I knew right away why he was such a good darts player. He could lean over and practically stick the darts into the board wherever he wanted. I strained my neck trying to look into his eyes when I asked him for an interview, and I’m no short fellow either. I couldn’t believe it when he said he had to stand on a chair to retrieve his darts when he was 7 or 8 years old. Anyway, that took us straight to how he started playing darts. (full article...)

Darin Young scooped the biggest prize of his darting career when he landed the inaugural North American Darts Championship. Pennsylvania thrower Young was involved in a thrilling final at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, just edging out Brad Wethington 8-7. Wethington in fact missed two darts at double to win the title himself, and Young had to nail a 13-darter to claim the $15,000 first prize

Darin Young got the nod and had the first shot at the out in leg one missing tops from eighty-three. Wethington made him pay, drawing first blood with a seventeen darter. Young returned the favor in leg two with a seventeen darter of his own when Wethington missed a shot at the bull to go up two to nil. With the match level at one all, Young lost his focus on his end game missing five darts from forty, giving the lead to Wethington.
