Essex kept their unbeaten record in the British Inter Counties Darts Championship with a 22-14 away win over London.
The result came after a 20-16 opening game defeat of Staffordshire. The men's B team set the scene for Essex with a 8-4 sets win.
Essex open champ Steve Johnson, from Wickford, got his sixth win in a row with a 3-0 performance, while Southend's Billy McMahon also recorded a maximum.
The ladies' B team had to settle for a 3-3 draw and the ladies' A team pulled off a shock win by defeating a London team featuring four international players 3-2.
To rub salt into the wounds the men's A team inflicted the first defeat in 11 games on the Londoners' A team by beating them 7-5. (story source...)
