A SPARKLING display from father and son Gary and Jamie Hawkins could not prevent defeat for Bridge A in the Carlsberg UK Open League.
The Division One outfit lost 5-3 to Hope Pole despite Gary’s 117 kill and Jamie’s 19-darter. Clive Lucking won in 18 and 19 darts, and Melvyn Roberts got a 180, for Queen’s Park GC as they whitewashed bottom-placed Rising Sun to go four points clear.
Ian Beecroft (Dishers) hit a 118 finish to a 17 dart leg, Dave Patton (Woodside) hit a 20-darter and Hawk skipper Mick Shea hit 20 and 21-dart legs to beat Amalgamated B’s Gary Jones who cracked a 21-darter. (full article...)
