High-scoring games thrill at Francis Street Club

A THRILLER of a match took place at the Francis Street Club between Les Macadie's FSC "2" and Mikie Campbell's Town and County Club outfit.

The Wick and District Darts League division one game saw a total of six maximums, a 177 and a bull 124 outshot by Ray Sinclair. In one leg of the pairs competition, Alec Johnston (T&CC) had three visits to the board and hit 125, 123, 135. The game went to the wire but the Backer won it 5-3. Johnston and Jocky Plowman were outstanding on the night.

The Smiddy Inn won their first point of the season with Brian Cassie's presence strengthening their squad against FSC "4".

But it was left to the father-and-son duo of Liam and David Miller to secure the victory with a fine win over Willie Webster and Ian McDonald.
