At 22, David Frank (both photos) is the ADA's youngest player. By day, Frank drives a delivery truck for Dunlop Furniture, but on Thursdays evenings, however, he shoots darts for the Oak Monkeys.
Just stroll to one of several local venues on Thursday nights, and you can catch a glimpse of these fierce competitors hurling pointed steel instruments around the room for fun.
Dangerous? Only if you are standing in the way of their dartboard. From October through May, league members of the Amador Dart Association spend one night a week shooting darts at Sutter Creek's The Annex and Gold Country Lanes, as well as The Fargo in Jackson and the Buena Vista Saloon in Ione.
