A 15-YEAR-OLD darts player has taken the first step to fulfil his dream of becoming the world number one by winning an open tournament.
Iestyn Martenko, of Heol Brynteg, Tynybryn, Tonyrefail, won the John Smith’s Trophy recently, beating off stiff competition from local players twice his age.
But for the Ely Valley Miners player it is only the first step on the way to reaching the world number one spot.
