Dart tourney helps Billings kids

A local dart tournament at the Monte Carlo Casino in downtown Billings raised money to help kids on Saturday.

Although the weather was a factor, it didn't stop the players from coming down to support the Marine Corps Toys for Tots. Jeff Pickens, the president of the local Thursday Night Dart league held at the Monte Carlo, said players wanted to get together for a good cause and to have some fun.

"Everybody is happy. It's always fun it's a bunch of friends that get together to play darts, it doesn't matter if you can throw darts well or if you are really good at darts, this type of an event makes everybody happy to be together and throw."

Around 20 dart players from around the Billings took part in the tournament which helped bring in about 30 toys for the cause.
