Darts superstar Bobby George will kick off a weekend extravaganza as big time darts returns to Eastbourne.
After an absence of three years, the Winter Garden will host The England Eastbourne Classic 2009 from Friday, January, 30 to Sunday, February, 1.
The Friday night special, hosted by Bobby George, will give fans a chance to take to 'the oche' and test their skills against 2002 world champ John 'Boy' Walton, 2007 world finalist Darryl 'Dazzler' Fitton and seven times women's world champion Trina Gulliver. There will also be a money in money out game.
On Saturday the men's singles BDO invitation event takes to the stage where players will battle for the £1,500 winners cheque.
Fans will also get to see the stars of the future as the youth players compete for the £100 winners prize.
On Sunday the Lady's singles will play for the £1000 top prize and the mixed triples event will see the winners pocket £300.
With more than £10,000 up for grabs, event organiser Harry Pope, of Eastbourne Leisure, is anticipating a weekend of top quality darts.
He said, "Bobby George is the ideal guy to get the weekend started. We have had a fantastic response to the event and we are sure the fans will get to see some great darts.
