The first round of the World Darts Championship saw thrills and spills by the bucket load, with a startling number of shocks already in the first part of the tournament.
With the game going global and with prize money going through the roof, darts is as popular as ever, and it seems that more people are taking it seriously in a bid for darting success.
Nowhere was this more clear than in the opening round of the tournament at the Alexandra Palace - and in fact in the opening match - when rising Spanish star Carlos Rodriguez took out established stalwart Roland Scholten. (full article...)
