KEN Hartley was to man to beat in the Salthouse Darts KO Cup first round, as he compiled a fine 18-dart finish for competition sponsors, the George Hotel.
Hartley knocked up in 126 – the highest finish of the night – as his team came out as 8-1 winners against the Dirty Duck.
In his doubles game with Pete Rule, the partnership also racked up four ton-plusses, to complete a fine night.
The second best showing came from Dennis Yeates ,with a great 20-dart knock-up.
