UNBEATEN Clifton Hotel whitewashed Bradford side Low Moor ‘B’ in the Yorkshire Darts Super League.

Low Moor arrived at the York pub two players short and they were put to the sword by the in-form leaders.

Martyn Turner maintained his impressive run of form by beating Kevin Grey 3-0, producing three 17-dart legs and a three-dart average of 88.41.

Mark Fratson threw a 19-dart leg and a 130 finish for a 15-darter as he averaged 75.33 in a 3-1 win over Carl Storey.

Chris Thompson threw 16 and 21-dart legs for an average of 73.92 as he beat Paul Drinkle 3-0, while John Quantock averaged 72.60 in a 3-1 win over Ian Johnson.

Neil Hart (69.36) was a 3-0 winner over Dennis Prayne, while Stuart Limbert averaged 66.99 in a 3-1 victory against John Robertson.

Meanwhile, Clifton Hotel have agreed new sponsorship deals with Barker Travel, in Acomb, who are covering transport costs, and Classic Carpets, Clifton Moor, who are upgrading the pub’s darts area.

The Clifton will stage an individual darts tournament on Saturday, with registration at 1pm and matches starting at 1.30pm.

Entry is £3 and there will be a £100 first prize. (full article...)
