Besting guys is especially satisfying for this mom
Donna Eagon plays in a women's darts league. But she relishes playing against men.
"When you're a woman and you start playing against a man who doesn't know you, they get kind of cocky," she says. "To put them in their place is pretty satisfying."
Eagon, 43, is a stay-at-home mom who has been playing competitive darts for 16 years.
These days, Eagon plays darts two nights a week. She plays with her mother in the Monday Madness Women's Dart League and with her husband in a Wednesday night coed league.
Eagon played in her first match when a friend needed a replacement for a teammate who flaked at the last minute. That impromptu performance triggered a love affair with darts so passionate that Eagon felt compelled to tattoo a dartboard on her calf.
