ARBROATH MEN'S DARTS LEAGUE

THE FIRST round of the Red Lion Knock-out Cup competition will be played on Monday.

The draw is as follows - Bowlers (2) v Beckets; Legion (2) v Bowlers (1); Commercial (Letham) v Corner (2); Tutties v Corner (1); Pageant v Foundry; Crown v Burns Bar (1); Abbey (1) v Abbey (2). Portcullis have a bye due to Stag withdrawing from the competition.

Home captains text the result to 07528249922. 180s scored in cup fixtures count as entry to the 180 competition, so captains are reminded to log any 180s on the form in pub packs.

Scottish Mixed Doubles
Angus County play-offs for the Scottish Mixed Doubles will take place on Sunday, December 21, in the Cliffburn Bar, Arbroath. Further details can be obtained from Chris Marshall, Angus area organiser. Scottish finals are on Saturday, January 24, in Bannockburn.

Scottish Open 2009
Next year's Scottish Open will be played over the weekend of February 20 to 22 at the Normandy Hotel, Renfrew. Entry forms are now available to download from the Scottish Darts website, www.scottishdarts.com

Lakeside World Professional Darts
Arbroath players Andrew Wood and Alan Soutar travel down to Bridlington, East Yorkshire, this weekend to compete for a qualifying slot at the Lakeside World Professional Darts Championships 2009 in January.

Winmau World Masters
Alan Soutar is also representing Scotland in the Winmau World Masters finals which are to be shown live on the BBC tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday afternoon. (story source...)
