A GUARD of honour made up of some of the world's top darts players bid Lakenheath's Shaun Greatbatch an emotional farewell from the BDO world championships on Sunday.
Greatbatch, who was diagnosed with myeloma – a rare form of bone marrow cancer – last summer, left the stage to a standing ovation after he was beaten by former world champion John Walton in the first round of the 2009 event at Lakeside.
